The area East of Beachpoint has experienced severe flooding as a result of the storm and a break in the water main. Durham Region has been notified to respond to the break. With regards to the impact of the storm, City staff and Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) will be assessing the conditions once conditions improve.
While I appreciate everyone enjoys the walk in this area, for safety reasons it should be avoided until at least ice conditions have melted. Any assistance you can provide to alert your members would be appreciated.
Durham Region is currently on sight as well addressing the water main and issue with sewage discharge.
